ACT Cape Town Coach & theatre creator Nicola Hanekom and her outdoor production Lot has been awarded three Kanna prizes.
"The Kannas, also called the Karoo Oscars, honours achievements at the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival in Oudtshoorn. Lot, a poetic and visually attractive production, deals with the fleeting nature of life. It was not only honoured with a Kanna for best production, but Hanekom was also honoured for her precise directing of the challenging piece and named best female artist at the festival. Lot is the second in a trilogy and Hanekom and her team are already planning the final production in the series of outdoor experiences for next year. It will be called Babylon.
